Shipping & Heat Policy

Our alfajores are baked in New York and shipped from Bayville, NY (Long Island) to anywhere in the United States. Here is how we get them to you fresh.
Where We Ship
We ship to all 50 US states. Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, and PO boxes may be limited to USPS services, so some options might not appear at checkout. We do not ship internationally yet.
Ship Days
We ship Monday through Wednesday only, so your package never sits in a carrier warehouse over the weekend. Orders placed Thursday through Sunday ship the following Monday. Holidays may shift this schedule by a day.
Shipping Options
You choose your shipping service at checkout, where you will see the price of each option for your address. Transit times count business days after your order ships.
- Standard: USPS Ground Advantage, usually 2-5 business days.
- Expedited: USPS Priority Mail, usually 1-3 business days.
- Guaranteed 2-Day: UPS 2nd Day Air, delivered within 2 business days, guaranteed by UPS.
USPS transit times are estimates provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed.
Summer Heat Policy
Dulce de leche and chocolate do not love the heat. From June through September, we only offer 2-day or faster shipping so your alfajores spend as little time in transit as possible.
Chocolate-coated alfajores ship with a cold pack during these months. A small cold-pack fee is added at checkout, and you will see it before you pay.
Tracking
As soon as your label is created and your order ships, we'll email you the carrier, your tracking number, and a link to follow your package. We'll email you again when it's delivered.
Damaged or Lost Packages
If your alfajores arrive damaged, or tracking shows your package is lost, we're truly sorry. Email us within 48 hours of delivery with a photo of the box and its contents, and we'll send a replacement or give you a credit. Write to us at contact@alfajoresny.com.
Perishable Goods
Our alfajores are fresh, perishable food, so we can't accept returns. Once a package is with the carrier, we can't control delays or weather, and we're unable to refund orders delayed by the carrier or by weather. Please double-check your address, and bring your package inside as soon as it arrives. If something does go wrong, write to us; we always do our best to help.
When Your Alfajores Arrive
Open the box and store your alfajores in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or refrigerate them for up to 2 weeks. Let them come to room temperature before serving for the best flavor.
